[access-uk] Mouse Problem

Hi All
I was give a Nikkai Laser mouse for Christmas. This seems to be Maplin's own
brand of wireless mouse. I've installed it and it works but the Control
Panel has no jurisdiction over it. For me it's far too fast so I have tried
to slow it down. The Control Panel slider makes no difference to the speed
whether it's on the fastest or slowest speed.
Has anyone any ideas as to how I can alter the settings when the system will
recognise the device to allow it's use but not to allow it's adjustment.
