That folder was empty.

generated?  
Downloaded the latest tarball and went through the steps in the INSTALL 
file.

I have a hunch my issue might not be related to Yohshimi at all.

Been away for a few days....

I'm wondering if you successfully managed to complete the install.

As well as the entry above, you should have a 'yoshimi' directory in
'usr/local/share/'

and the standalone image 'yoshimi' in 'usr/local/bin'

Do they exist?
