I cannot say for Jos, but obviously I never gave anyone the permission to sell
vDosPlus. It is supposed to be free for everyone, and never for profit. I do
not have the time to try dbDOS myself yet, so I am not sure exactly how the
latest version works though.

Is this without the permission of the vdos developers, is it ascertainable ?

dbDOS was a commercial product designed to run dBase in DOSBox, even though
that guaranteed data loss because DOSBox doesn’t lock files. The latest
version, introduced in the past few days, uses vDosPlus in a more or less
disguised version. It costs $149 to get essentially what the Xy installer
provides free. Somehow I doubt that members of this list will rush to buy it.
