Here is the latest copy of the bylaws, incorporating all changes discussed
at the October meeting, and the change of phrasing in the Purposes
statement (paragraph 2) that we discussed by email shortly thereafter. Our
hope is to approve this document at Wednesday's meeting.
In reviewing it tonight, I found a major oversight which we all missed
seeing: we added Treasurer to the list of officers, but never defined his
or her duties! So in this version, I took a stab at defining the
responsibilities, highlighted in yellow in the Officers section 4d. I also
added related items 4-5 in section 8, Core Committee. Please review and
reply with any suggestions, or bring them up at the meeting.
Note that the "WSMAC Fiscal Policy" referenced has yet to be written. At
this point, I recommend we wait until January, when we know who the Core
Committee is, then task them to develop this policy. The treasurer at my
church, Phil Brown, has agreed to meet with us on this whenever we want.
Lastly, I did some bold and italic formatting in the Officers section to
try to make it more readable, hopefully that helps. I also added page
numbers.
