I was thrilled to find my pine tree full of White-winged Crossbills who dropped
down to take sips of water from the pond below. I counted at least 12 males and
6 females, but there were more in the tree I couldn’t see. I had heard they
were in the neighborhood but hadn’t seen them yet. Beautiful sunny day to get a
photo of them!
