Sorry, I meant to say the Perky Pet Pinch Waist Hummingbird Feeder.  Here is a
link on Amazon.com:

We maintain many different styles of hummingbird feeders in our yard and
Orioles have never fed from any other style of feeder.

This is obviously not the information you are looking for, but we have found
that the Orioles in our yard enjoy the Perky Pet Cinch Waist (old name was
"Four Fountains") feeder without the bee guards installed.  We tried a special
Oriole feeder and bowls of grape jelly and they ignored all of this to use this
hummingbird feeder.  It is a lot easier to maintain a dual purpose feeder
versus two different types of feeders.  We tend to primarily see Orioles in our
urban yard during the Spring Migration in May and June and then none for the
rest of the year---if we had them in the fall, we'd have to come up with
something else though, because the Orioles cannot feed from this particular
hummingbird feeder when the bee guards are installed.  Good luck to you and let
us know what feeder works the best.

Hummers actually enjoy this feeder too, so keep your nectar ratio at 4-1 and
you can enjoy both species.
When it comes to Orioles, it took me 3 years to figure out how to keep them
throughout the nesting season. I was always so bummed they stuck around for a
week or so, but then moved on. Happy to say, for 13 years now they keep nesting
with me.
Here's what I've found...Oranges attract them - grape jelly keeps the males
around but mealworms are the key for making Mom want to stay. And when offered,
she will not only need them for her egg development but then visit many times a
day once the chicks have hatched.
An open fly-thru feeder (with roof) is also a hit...I'll set 2 dishes in there,
one with grape jelly and the other with mealworms , they absolutely love it.
The roof keeps the mealworms dry and grape jelly is not diluted.
Also, when your orange halves are cleaned out put grape jelly in them.
Good luck, they should be arriving the 1st week in May.

Subject: [ wisb ] Oriole Feeder help

I could use some feedback on good oriole feeders for jelly and
organes . I've used a nectar type feeder in the past, but I'm giving
up on it this year. It's just too hard to clean and refill one of
those daily/often with the liquid slopping all around when you're
walking with a cane in each hand as well (or trundling around in a
wheelchair). :)

I've got Sky Cafe feeders for seed and love them, but would really
like opinions backchannel of the good, the bad and the ugly on the Sky
Cafe oriole feeder as well as alternative choices of jelly/orange
combo feeders before I order anything. Thoughts about particular
feeders that might be especially easy for cleaning and filling for
someone who's disabled without a lot of dexterity and strength more
than welcome!.

Thanks -- you guys are the best. The info everyone sent on scopes was great!
