It was amazing to witness. I hope one day you will have the same opportunity.
We usually have a few pairs here on our land and I usually only see nests after
the leaves are gone and they were so high in the trees, this one wasn’t as
high. It was sweet how Mr. Oriole would feel Mrs. Oriole while she incubated
the eggs. He also shared in the feeding of the babies. Good luck to you, I hope
it happens for you this year!

We had a pair nest in our neighborhood but not in our yard. Maybe that will
change this year!

I can’t wait! Looks like it will be another week or so for me, Thank you
for sending that link. I’m excited to hopefully witness the pair that nested
in a branch above our driveway to come and disassemble their nest when they
are ready to build a new one. I’m not sure I’ll be lucky enough ever again
to have an oriole family build a nest in plain sight like last year. It’s
truly was a blessing to witness the nest building all the way to watching
every one of the four babies take their first flight. (it happened one at a
time and took two days, with each one spending a lot of time when it was
their time to go, sitting on a branch above the nest before braving their
maiden flight). I sure learned a lot about Orioles last year, that’s for
sure. It seemed like their favorite food to feed their young were green inch
worms and spiders, especially spiders with egg sacs. One day I’ll organize
the photos into a series of photos of their life :)
