There doesn't seem to be an option to only install the client part though. Is there a way to just install the remote client then? -----Original Message----- From: Angus Macdonald [mailto:Angus.Macdonald@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 10 September 2003 12:36 To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [windows2000] Re: OT: Installing PC Anywhere on WXP Pro.... I think it's only the host part that gives problems. The remote client is just another app and doesn't do any serious OS hooking. -----Original Message----- From: Steve Rance [mailto:Steve.Rance@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 10 September 2003 12:07 To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [windows2000] Re: OT: Installing PC Anywhere on WXP Pro.... I need to use the remote part of PCAnywhere on the PC to connect to a PC on the other side of the world running PC Anywhere host. I won't be using the host part on the PC this end. There's an idea though...If the other PC (the host) is a Windows XP PC I could use Remote Assistance instead. Is this approach, though the internet a recommended solution? -----Original Message----- From: Matt Bron [mailto:w2klist@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 10 September 2003 11:54 To: Windows 2K List Subject: [windows2000] Re: OT: Installing PC Anywhere on WXP Pro.... Inbuilt Remote Assistance no good for you? But to answer your question, I think 9.2 is compatible with W2K but I'm not so sure about XP - if it's a "must have" then personally I'd be sure to go for a version that I *know* is compatible - you know how fussy XP can be :) Regards, Matt Bron ********************************************************** To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm ********************************************************** To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm ********************************************************** To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm ********************************************************** To Unsubscribe, set digest or vacation mode or view archives use the below link. http://thethin.net/win2000list.cfm
