now that also Marc has voted I send this mine that I write before... and
also with France, the vote is still in parity so nothing done, old rules
still valid.
So:
About the vote, I think it will be fair that the call for a vote will be
made from the president or in any case from someone that do not indicate
in which direction to vote, and also surely not from someone that,
calling the vote, says that what the skeptics say is false, also if the
elegant way of the "opposite" is used...
- Several people think that the new rule will make it harder to
find good sites. The opposite is true.
Anyway I open my 3D cad and I try a simulation of the 200m flying start
record track (this is in the end the only real record involved by this
new rule, except for the case like the races held in some World
Championship event that which although not always significant for the
absolute record, can give an idea of the list of fastest riders, and for
someone was indeed the possibility to enter the fastest riders ranking,
now all this files are gone...),
I do this because my intelligence is much bigger when it comes to
something visual compared to something written ( :-D ), and so also the
translation problem are solved ...
So I discover that, since appendix is now gone, and most important since
Earth is _NOT_ flat, the only way we have to make a record attempt
following this rules is to make a hill climb race, or to be clear for
everyone (since NO tolerance is admitted) to race on the way up, because
the finish must be higher than the start and any other point on the
track, which to allow the streamliner to reach speeds well over 100km/h
must be at least 15 km long... and this is not fair anyway!
So to be "scientific" and not to use the hybrid power from mother
earth, we are forced to run uphill, but everyone is silent about the
fact that all the latest bikes are anyway hybrid due to the presence of
a camera system and monitors that is powered by an external battery pack...
please wake up, this rule is only something valid to put the old records
(and not only the records but also the best attempt of several riders)
in a _Best Human Effort_ part of our database, and not for anything else
since no place matches these new rules, unless you run uphill, which no
one will ever do.
However, looking at the list of records on our site, we may notice how
it is not up to date, as long as we are not waiting to trash it directly...
*We have the possibility to do something better, introducing some
tolerance, speaking with other associations, or we can just do this way,
useless for all.**

PS: someone might argue that I am opposed, since my heavy weight would
certainly not allow me to beat any "uphill" records, I actually think of
the direction that will have to develop the new bikes, which will be
lighter (by force), with an increase in costs and a reduction for the
safety of riders.
I am also thinking that the team that run their vehicles on a faster
track have the possibility to better develop their race against the air
(and so develop the best HPV, wich is _The primary objective of the
WHPVA is to increase the use and development of human powered
vehicles_), and so that vehicles will be certainly aerodynamically
"better" and so faster also on "up hill" track, this will mean that
these teams will anyway beat the "poorer" ones, and by the way there
will be from now the searching for the strongest rider (anyway cheaper)
more than the develop of a better vehicles, which is not really our aim.
