No. Using DirectSound/DirectShow you will get approximately 40ms latency in
playback.
DirectKS mode is hard. You have to handle everything yourself. For example the
Creative Audigy runs at 48KHz in DirectKS mode which means you have to do
resampling if you want to mix in CD Audio which is sampled at 44.1KHz.
