Thank you. That is very interesting indeed. Strange the rates from South are National when phoning a landline in the North.

Hi eamonn the rates all depend on bill pay or speek easy on bill pay its the
standard eu rates 59 cent to make a call and 29 cent to receive a call,
northern Ireland is classified as UK networks. For speek easy customers
the price isn't a whole lot different.
Hope this helps

Rahim

I am wondering if my 02 phone will work in Northern Ireland or if Northern
Ireland is treated like the UK in that regard. I know I have no problem
dialling a Northern Ireland number as a national number but if I was say in
Belfast and receiving or making calls to republic of Ireland, would I be
charged International rates?

Hi all still awaiting price lists for all symbian phones and networks
from
my contact in carphone warehouse, at the moment I am told that the E51 is
the best symbian phone for reliability, responsiveness and ease of access
for dexterity and functionality, E.G. large keys and easy layout.
The E65 and 5500 are known to have software failures, while the E51 seems
to
have the most reliable symbian software to date. The new N82 has not been
approved on any networks, but can be ordered from the manufacturer, I have
been advised to stay away from all N serious phones, this is coming from
my
contacts in the mobile phone industry.
If I have any more information on phones I will send this on.

Kind regards
Rahim

Hi Loretta,

I don't use the N73 myself but i did consider purchasihng same one but
found
the keys a little small for me

I have the E65 and I find it good but occasionally I get a crash!

I don't really blame the phone but sometimes there is an issue with
Talks!

I suppose what you might load up to the phone may sometimes cause a
problem!

talks is not altogether perfectt I assure you,but usually it is pretty
good.

Great to have it though!

A tip should be thinking of getting rid of that phone is to keep it as a
second one!

I am pay as you go so with peak and off peak rates you can use your
phone[s
at a time where there tariffs are cheaper dependingg on your price plan
I.E.
cheaper for example in the evenings!

Thank you for all your great advice to us all on the list as always.

Happy phoning and texting!

Tony.

Hi Eamon and Susan,

Thanks so much for all your info. It's great to get some feedback from
a
user as it is difficult to know which one is better until you have
operated
it for quite a while. I have an old Nokia 6600 which I love but
yesterday
the 7,8, and 9 keys were not working for me. Luckily enough someone
came
into my house and gave my phone a good cleaning and now these keys are
in
working order again!

I know it will just be a matter of time til it gives up on me so at
least
I'll have a bit of homework done on the subject.

Thanks once again,

Loretta
