Hi Mairead,
It depends what Windows version you are using. If you have Windows 10
it is simpler, for earlier versions you need an add-on. You can read
about OCR in section 9 of the User Guide - Content Recognition.
I used an alternative approach at work that didn't require the
installation of an add-on on Windows 7. I used Microsoft Onenote.
If you run Onenote and when it opens enter alt no this will prompt you
for the name of a file. Enter the name of the file where you have the
screenshot and Onenote will scan it to text straight away. I normally
select all with control a and paste into Notepad to read because I
don't find Onenote to be very accessible.
