Yes, I know that voice dream reader is $10.00. I bought it for my ipad mini
and it's my favorite app. I use it on a daily bases to do one or all of the
following: Listening to old time radio shows, read books from bookshare or
read books in the epub format.

Hi all. Thanks Maria for the review.
VDR costs ten bucks. The 8 inch Fire tablet, if you wait for a good
sale, costs $50. If that is too rich for your blood, the 7 inch Fire
tablet, on sale, will put you back $30. In fact, it was on sale for
$25 this past holiday.
I don't think cost or useability is a problem Russ.
However, saying that, I have yet to purchase an app. There are so many
to give a go.
Of course, everyone elses' digital motoring mileage may vary.
And, nothing is perfect. At least, not yet.
Stay well ... William

This is one of the reasons I've been holding back on buying a Fire. I
contacted the developers of voice dream reader and they told me that Amazon
won't approve the voice dream app in the app store.
