Can you download apps to it? If not, then you can check out the book using your
phone, computer, or kindle fire tablit if you have one.
After you check out the book, you go to the part where it tells you to choose
your format. Then after choosing kindle, you will be directed to the amazon
website to complete the borrowing transaction. After that, you can read the
book on any kindle app or device you have.

Good, then, you should be able to start borrowing kindle books from there for
free.
This app behaves as if you were checking out or borrowing physical items.
By this, I mean that you can only borrow titles that are not already checked
out to someone else. If you want a book that someone else has, you will have
to place a request for it, and you can borrow it when it becomes available.
now you just need to download the overdrive app from the amazon app store or
google play if you have it. Then the app will direct you to add your library.
just follow the apps instructions, and you should be fine.
I use this app all the time, so let me know if you have any trouble with it
and we can go on from there.

Does your library have the overdrive app available to you? If yes, then you
have access to kindle books. If you download the overdrive app and choose
your library, then you can do a search for a title you want. Double tap the
e-book's name, then scroll down til you hear formats or available formats.
Double tap that and you can see if that particular book is available in a
kindle format.

Going back to a list of cool things you can do with your fire, You can also
download different music apps such as spotafy pandora, and i heart radio.
You can also listen to music on amazon's music app if you have a
subscription or you buy music from them.
If you have a library membership, you can download the overdrive and hoopla
apps and read and listen to books. You can listen to audiobooks with both
apps, and you can borrow kindle books to read with the overdrive app. you
could also borrow books in the epub ebook format if you have the means to
convert them into kindle or another accessible format. Personally, I have
never gotten this to work for me, but others on this list may have been
more successful. I just use the kindle borrowing option.
