Hi David. With an install of the Google Play Store on my Fire tablet,
I am sure that Voicedream reader will install with no problem. As to
how well it works in the android version, I believe that someone else
on this list has installed on their Fire tablet and can answer that
question.
However, I simply have not paid for an app from any store when it
comes to my Fire tablet. There are way too many interesting apps that
cost nothing for my perusal. And, if they don't work, I just
un-install!
As for alternative book readers, what requirements do you need beyond
the default Kindle book reader on the Fire tablet?

This is pretty much the only reason I think I would want to install the
Google Play Store so probably would not bother if it is not possible to
install Voicedream or another alternative Book Reader.
