If you've got automatic checking for updates turned on (it is by default, unless you've turned it off yourself) then your phone well check usually once a day and prolly you to download it.
If you've got a nexus 5 you should get the update fairly quickly.Other than waiting until your manufacturer sends out the update, your only option it's to use a custom Rom which has the update.
Since it was all only announced today, you'll have to wait a little while in any case.
