All (five of you?) Todd and I did a little county listing this past weekend in Greensville, Southampton, Sussex and Brunswick Counties plus a few Emporia and Norfolk (thanks to the traffic jam that rendered us motionless for a while near the tunnel!) birds. I had not kept track of birds in any of those counties when we had been there before so I was basically starting from scratch (except notables or year birds). My numbers for these counties are below. Just for fun I've included what I consider to be my best species for each county overall, but most of these were found on previous trips. Brunswick 36 (Bachman's Sparrow) Greensville 65 (Anhinga, Mississippi Kite, Swainson's Warbler) Southampton 51 (Mississippi Kite, Swainson's Warbler) Sussex 38 (Red-cockaded Woodpecker) What's everyone else's best species in these counties?
