Hi, my name is Meg Simonton. I live in RIchmond VA near Collegiate School. Over the summer I put out a few hummingbird feeders. They are my favorite birds and I love having them around. I have two acres of woods behind my house so we get an unusual amount of wildlife around my house.
I was just about to take down my last feeder when I noticed we still have a female coming to our yard. I have some flowers still blooming so she is visiting those as well. She is on the larger and heavier side. (I tend to get a lot of juveniles in the later part of the summer.)
Is it normal to still have one this late? And it isn't possible that she is pregnant is it?  That is my biggest concern.
If you have any thoughts I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks so much!
