Just to add to my own test:
 -  the blank screen probleem occurred on my Mac Mini G4.
    OS X 10.4.8

-  I'll repeat the test on the G5  when it is convenient.

Same problem here. Radeon 8500 AGP 64MB VRAM with latest ROM update,
SDL 1.2.11, OS X 10.4.8.


My test was successful i.e. no change from previous version.
PomerMac G5 1,8 dual - graphics GeForce FX 5200.

I don't use very heavy graphics applications so I don't see
faster graphics do easy.

I'll test further for other things (CD-Rom, use of FYP)
