both are meant for tunerpro V5 only, in V4 the tables don't work correctly, but
they are VERY basic.

not sure if we're allowed to post files via the mailing list, so i specifically
included your email address as well, David, in case it didn't go through due to
attachments.

the only other issue i ran into was due to the checksum, and the built-in
checksum module in TP can't handle it, and i'm pretty poor when it comes to
C/C++ type programming, so i can't write up a plug-in. i do have the info on
what needs to be done, if anyone would like to make it, otherwise i was just
going to patch the BINs to disable the checksum function entirely. that's a
very short project for me, when i have time.

i also attached the BINs i disassembled to make the XDFs, if the disassemblies
are desired, i'll post those as well.

Robert, have you posted your XDF anywhere? I would like to give it a try.
Thanks,
David

i've written a very basic XDF for the 95 Northstar/Aurora PCMs(93 and 94 have
different code masks), but they are quite complex and i'm sure a lot is missing.

i originally disassembled and wrote the XDF to grab values out of the factory
tunes for a good starting place to use a 94-95 truck PCM and use $0D as a
trans-only controller.

Yep, it was the last year before OBDII came in.

I did look and all I could find was an ALDL data definition.

I've been looking for this for about 2 years actually!

Wow.  That's pretty intense.  You checked all the TunerPro forums?

Ryan, it has a one-unit PCM that does all engine and transmission functions.

Do you know if that is directly controlled by the ECU or if that is based off
of TCU control?  The computer for the transmission is often quite independent
of the ECU for the engine and only relies on a few signals between the two.  It
may even be a matter of cutting a single wire that controls that part of the
operation.

Hello all.  I've been unsuccessfully looking for an XDF for a 1995 Olds Aurora
4.0.

I've looked for this on and off for about 2 years.

Anyone have info it would be greatly appreciated.  Specifically I am trying to
turn off the diagnostics for transmission and turn off adaptive shifting.

Thanks in advance!
Sincerely,
David
