Getting Mack to this, Mark, it would be cool (though not really your problem) 
if you could detect the twitchy needles and advise the user about the FTDI 
problem, even if you just post a message clickable URL in a dialog. It would 
have saved me hundreds of dollars on replacement ECUs.

i don't have my cable nearby at the moment, but my settings net me a 10.67Hz 
average sampling rate with a A1 size response..... i think the driver settings 
are a 1mS latency timer and i don't believe i moved the transfer size from the 
default setting. this is with adding a single byte to the Body Size in the 
response command in tunerpro as well.
