It is a good idea to follow the Windows install. I found that some programs don't automatically list themselves in the installed programs list when you bring up the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS window, if you don't follow that route. Just good housekeeping really, and makes sure that Windows knows exactly what has been added to the system, and what DLL files, etc. are being shared. Then when the time comes to uninstall, it is very simple to go to ADD/REMOVE Programs, highlight the program, and click REMOVE.
