Marvin I believe one is a (top) 10487 Ruby Quaker (Orthosia rubescens) and the 
other one is 10495 10495 Speckled Green Fruitworm Moth (Orthosia hibisci).

I keep having a nagging feeling I’m overlooking the obvious, but I’m not having 
any luck identifying these two moths.  I’m not even certain they are the same 
species.  I thought Corn Earworm (Helicoverpa zea – 11068), but that doesn’t 
look right and it’s the wrong time of year.  
 
Date:  3/13/12 and 3/15/12
