To accentuate just how much help our state needs in getting accurate records, I just checked and 14 of my 23 Chester County moth records listed on BAMONA are the only records for the state. There are a bunch more I've submitted that haven't made it on to the site that I know are firsts for the state. Unlike some of you, I haven't actively been pursuing moths but I will record anything that I come across when I have a camera in hand so I doubt if these are particularly rare species. If I can stumble across this many firsts, we definitely have a problem that needs to be solved. I read references to finding a new TN species, but nowhere can I find what is the "official" list.
