April 16, 2005 [posting date: April17] eastern and southeastern Greene County, including Kinser Park (KP), Paint Creek Recreation Area (PCRA), etc. I observed the following today (Linda Northrop was also present for most of the day): Green Heron (KP); Broad-winged Hawk (near PCRA); Wild Turkey; Chimney Swift (15); Ruby-throated Hummingbird (Bullen Hollow); Common Raven (intersection of Greystone Road and 107 Cutoff--a low elevation site near the Nolichuckey River); Tree Swallow (7); Barn Swallow (7); House Wren (3); Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (10); Brown Thrasher (2); White-eyed Vireo; Blue-headed Vireo (2); Black-and-white Warbler; Northern Parula (3 PCRA); Black-throated Green Warbler (11); American Redstart (Greeneville) (a day earlier than I've ever recorded it in Greene County); Chipping Sparrow (10).
