Greene County: Paint Mountain (PM), Paint Creek Corridor (PCC), Hurricane Gap 
Road, and miscellaneous other sites 

I re-ran my route of March 26 (with a few additions) this morning, in high 
hopes of finding spring arrivals. I was not disappointed. Highlights, including 
a few winter residents, transients, and others, were

Cliff Swallow (13, Oscar B. Lovette Bridge (Hwy. 70 at Nolichucky River)) 
Barn Swallow (9) 
Red-breasted Nuthatch (2, PM) 
Brown Creeper (singing, Hurricane Gap Rd.) 
House Wren 
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (14) 
Brown Thrasher (6) 
Northern Parula (8, PCC, Hurricane Gap Rd.) 
Black-throated Green Warbler (74 (conservatively counted), PM, PCC, Hurricane
