At approximately 5p, I was looking out my window at work (and on the
phone), when I seen what I thought was a house finch fly into a tree in the
parking lot. Although the bird was backlit, I noticed how the rosy the
chest looked and thought the back looked rather dark. As the bird turned
it's head, I didn't think the head looked right for a house finch and I
noticed there was white marking above the eye. I concentrated more on the
bird and realized what I was actually seeing was a Rose-breasted
Grosbeak! I'm assuming it was a first year male.
