TN-Birders, Today's weather was outstanding for the beginning of the GBBC. We were around 50 degrees and clear here in Pickett County after a frosty start early this morning. I was outside around 2:00pm when I heard that distinct sound of birds in flight. Had 250 from 2:10 to 2:20 then another 150 around 2:30 for a day total of 400. The GBBC asked me to confirm the Cranes. Guess those folks at Cornell don't know that February is a big month for Sandhills here in Tennessee.
