That’s not 100% correct Nick. Using Enterprise Edition you can enable /PAE in the boot.ini so that the “System” will see all the RAM. No apps will be able to address the memory above 4GB, but the System will use it as virtual memory. There have been many studies done that say that this will provide a considerable performance boost. I would still start with a 4GB page file, but you may be able to decrease this or remove it altogether. However, if you still want to enable kernel memory dumps, leave an 850MB page file on the System drive. You would never do a full memory dump! Cheers, Jeremy.
