SP1 yes, post SP1 no. Then again, I'm used to SP1 being slipstreamed in the
OS installation. I've run into issues where certain applications would not
install correctly if the MS hotfixes were installed before the applications
were installed. After changing the order of installation, the problems
went away.

Because I have found that making sure your base OS is patched before PS goes
on does make a difference. For instance, if you already have HRP1 installed
and you then install Win2k3 SP1 you are much better off reinstalling HRP1.
Doing this prevents issues that I've seen crop up. That's one example I've
seen. IMHO, it's much safer and experience has shown it brings about a much
more stable environment.

What would be the reasoning? Patching is an on-going process and would
continue long after the drives have been remapped.

First thing I would do is not remap the drives. :)

Otherwise, I would install all Win2k3 patches first. Then remap, then PS.

Remap the drive as soon as humanly possible. That is if you REALLY, REALLY
have a burning need to remap the drives. Otherwise, don't remap the drives.

What would you guys recommend as an installation order for 2003 with PS 4.0?
If you were going to remap drives for Citrix, would you do this first or
install all OS patches first?
