I say don't be too cautious - you are very right to raise the question,
Ron, and to consider this.

Without people raising the questions, the debate and the answers never
come.

It's an interesting thought - and I think with TS being a fairly
specific use of the OS, and with caveats, it could be of use. Especially
if using anything that could manage and trap anything romping out of
control with RAM use.

It's just a shame that for quite specific use, you can't change /
configure the VM rationale to be more like the swapping rationale.

In general, for a general purpose OS, I think the paging rationale is
the only one that can likely make sense, it'd just be nice to have the
choice, when doing specific things and wanting the best performance.
