When applying a ghost image of a system with re-mapped drives to a new
system you need to load ghost on the machine that's going to receive the
image with the FDSP switch. (file disk signature preserve)

"ghost.exe -fdsp"

Works fine from ghost version 7.0 and higher.

I thought that it was not possible to ghost a server which had had its
drives remapped?

Absolutely. This is the DR method of choice for me since it's
quick and easy.

        chaps,

are you able to ghost a complete server, i.e. with Citrix
installed and drives remapped.. and apps installed??

The only problem I've ever had with Ghost is using it on
a partition basis. I've better 100% success generating images by drive
rather than by partition.

                You're mileage may vary...

I don't bother backing up any of our MF servers as yet,
don't see the point.

I want to create an image for them though so I can
rebuild them quicker.

What products are people using for this ???

                Thanks,
