We have been fortunate to be Number 1 in the Nation for over a decade. Bad
weather last year provided for poor results. We topped San Diego by only 3
species. We are planning to do much better this year.
Birders who plan to attend that have participated in past years contact your
section leader. I will be asking them how many new birders they need after
Thanksgiving.
If you have not attended this CBC and would like to join, email me and I will
look for a suitable section. I am expecting vacancies in the riparian forest
of Selkirk Island and LyondellBasell properties, brushlands of the Old Gulf
property, in the vicinity of Matagorda, and the beaches and marshes near the
mouth of the Colorado River.
Until I hear from the section leaders, possibly all sections.
