There has been a nest of Monk Parakeets just east of the DFW airport.  I found 
the nest last year (they were lifers at the time) on the corner of Esters and W 
Rochelle Rd.   I believe a new nest area was found a bit further north.

Monk Parakeets probably don't get much eBird love, but that doesn't
mean they don't exist --
Andrews, Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Seabrook/Kemah, and a
smattering of other locations have populations of varying size. Texas
A&M is keeping track of them, so any reports that are outside of the
areas I listed need additional details!
