Geek Squad is operating through Best Buy stores I think they are marketing mostly towards home users with little experience in upgrades,virus and spyware and instruction. I called once to get an idea what they charrge to upgrade a win 98 to XP they told me starts at minimum $85.00 service fee and then varies from amount of time required plus cost of software.
