Only a 6 volt difference, 118 to 124V???
 Normally I think I can get 120 to 160V adjustment out of that pot.
Try thinking in those terms....that the feedback loop with the pot is
feeding back too much.....

Maybe the 2.2uf cap is too big or too small (plate-wise) or the resistors
have changed.....Maybe if you replaced the IC it's not working
correctly.....What about the operation in RUN mode? Do you get 143V in RUN?

Main Supply Cap.....getting 170 Vdc off of it? 33k ohm supply resistor
(supplies IC) OK?
