Make sure you take dust cap off and put shims around magnet to center cone or 
you may get some rubbing.

  I use an exacto knife, and my fingers. You want it as clean and free of 
debris as you can get. You also want a good solid bead of glue to ensure a good 
air tight seal. I think the glue makes most of the difference. You need to work 
with the speaker until the glue sets enough to leave alone. I've gotten kits 
from simply speakers with good results.
