John, and Jerry;
The VCR deck had broken gears in the loading basket, and the main cam gear
was out of alignment and jamed. I damaged it more by ripping it apart with a
pair of pliers, cause I got pixxed off at it. I want to just leave the deck
removed from the set completly, and use the TV.

I removed the end sensors, the center LED, and the mode switch, so their
couldn't be any light causing problems. I realize that by removing the mode
switch, I need to hardwire it into the standby mode, but, I have no
schematics to show which pins to jumper.

Also, I need to know which pins on the micro-p monitor the end sensors,
cause I probably need to apply a high (+5), or a low (ground) to fool the
micro-p in to thinking the deck is just in the standby position.

If this could be done, it would be a good thing to know for future problems,
cause I hate to throw away fairly new sets, when they can still get some use
from normal TV reception, and external input could be used for hooking up a
DVD player, which most people want these days, anyway.
