I had a Sony with HOT running hot so I added on a larger heatsink and the temperature went down 10 deg. C. Didn't add a fan because I don't like the sound it makes when it starts to wear out. Note, this was done only after scoping the waveforms and measuring voltages to confirm the best I could that there weren't any defects left in the circuit.
