So noted.But I was going to finally use a D1879 as the final fix,just used the other "equiv" as a test. I was under the impression that most of these "D1879" transistors were Sanyo. If one orders a Sanyo 405-056-8701 would it be a rebagged D1879? Are these like the Sony SMPS transistors that overheat with generacs? Although those Sony's are used in complimentary pairs so matching is a must.Just thinking out loud... But are you saying replacing it with another D1879 is not tolerated in the circuit?
