Harry;
A friend in a neighbor city fixed one with similar 4 times pulsing and
not starting. He labored with it for a week or two replacing many components.
I found some tips in Repairworld that led him to cracked legs on main board
around PIP module. It was related to a 3.3v supply?

Chassis: CTC203A
Symptom: NOT STARTING. Relay cycles 4 times then off
Cure: resolder U18101 and area near top of PIP module

TELEVISION  RCA  CTC203  Trys to start, High voltage only comes up to about
5K volts  Unsolder pin 10 of T14401 if sound comes on and stays replace flyback
t14401

TELEVISION  RCA  CTC203  NO START  vert i.c. faulty (unsolder & set starts)

TELEVISION  RCA  CTC 203AX  will not start tries 3 times  F2PIP board quick
check pull board if defective set will now sart

TELEVISION  RCA  CTC203  No startup , pulses 3 times , dead  Suspect F2PIP
board , U18101 3.3 v , check solder on devider resistors

TELEVISION  RCA  CTC203  Starts fine then later shuts down and tries to
restart 3 times and Quits  Replace Q14901 in the X-Ray Shutdown Ckt on top of
board

TELEVISION  RCA  CTC203  WON'T COME ON RELAY CLICKS 3 TIMES  CR14704 SCAN
SUPPLY DIODE SHORTED. SET RUNS FINE AFTER REPLACE

TELEVISION  RCA  CTC203  WON'T TURN ON  REPLACE U14104 12 VOLT REGULATOR (ECG
966)]

TELEVISION  RCA  CTC203  No horiz deflection  open R810

TELEVISION  RCA  CTC203AA5  Won't power on, 5V standby OK, 139V low  Leaky
zener CR14117 #244244

TELEVISION  rca  F3668Yx51 chassis CTC203Ca5  not turn on  replace Q14401

TELEVISION  RCA  CTC203AD5  HIGH VOLTAGE COMES UP THEN SHUTS DOWN MAY CYCLE 5
TIMES  REPLACE U14101 OPTO-COUPLER
