Larry: Do you stock those convergence power supply boards? I would just sub the board out. We stock a few of those, shop and service vans. They are only around $30, way to cheap to troubleshoot. Although we have fixed some, we quit after finding it is better for the customer and us to just replace the module. At least if you have problems elsewhere, like we have seen, you can look elsewhere. Pulled both 15v diodes and they both checked good, pulled R19722 750K resistor it also reads good. Tried to pull up crosshatch in customer menu and it will come up 1 time out of 10 try`s,when it did come up I tried to move the blue and the set momentarily shuts down, when it comes up it`s out of the menu mode alltogether and then the convergence mode is no longer there. I shut the set off for approx. 10 minutes to check components/solder on conv. power board and when I powered the set back up the convergence was ok, +15/-15 were both there, 3-4 minutes later the convergence went back out and both 15v lines were gone again. No bad solder, no burnt parts, heatsinks on convergence board are of course cold, all plugs plugged in. Going back this afternoon with schematic, anybody seen this problem ?? tia, -- Larry Eastman American TV & Electronics Crystal River, Fl. http://www.tvjunkyard.com ------------------------------------------ To REMOVE your email address, click here: http://www.tech-assist.org/unsubb.html To CHANGE your email address, click here: http://www.techassist.net/forms/change.html ------------------------------------------ ***NEW*** Tips Added Instantly!!!*** Submit Repair Tips here: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/ ------------------------------------------ To REMOVE your email address, click here: http://www.tech-assist.org/unsubb.html To CHANGE your email address, click here: http://www.techassist.net/forms/change.html ------------------------------------------ ***NEW*** Tips Added Instantly!!!*** Submit Repair Tips here: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/
