Yes, up until about 1980, there were about 15 shops
in our county of about 20,000 people.
We all made a living, and about 8 of these shops
were store fronts.
Now, there is only 2 shops left in two counties of
about 50,000 people, and we can barely make ends
meet.
But, as I've noted before, us techs are the ONLY
people unhappy with the status quo.
The manufacturers and consumers love it.
