I have only read about 1 instance where it was *alledged* a TV caused a
house to burn down.
The theory was that the incorrect parts were used, and some were non
flameproof resistors
and a larger than normal fuse was used to prevent the TV from not working. I
dont recall what actually
caught fire, but apparently the owners were amazingly on vacation, and no
one was at home when it decided to burn the house down.

How could they prove it was Ed's fault? How could they prove Ed was the
last to work on the TV, and even if they did prove it, wouldn't they
have to prove the TV caused the fire? I once fixed a guy's computer and
later (don't remember how long) his house burnt down. Never had anyone
contacting me about it.
