That's probably because the Digital picture is still standard definition (480I) Digital makes it noise-free, not Hi Def....In our neck of the woods, all the channels you can get WITHOUT the Cable box is NTSC and it includes all the snow/noise that you want.....NOW get the Digital box and all those extra channels that come with the box is DIGITAL....noise-free but still Low Definition/480i/SD transmission... Now pay extra on top of the Digital cable box and you get a DIFFERENT cable box with even more channels and you have HIGH DEFINITION cable.....$10 to $20 extra for 5 channels playing the same thing over and over....within a month you've seen almost everything that is Hi-Def...... But your friends will come over and ogle your new toy....eat your food....sit in your favorite chair...drink your beer....be your pal. ;-) Damon Brunger Telrad Electronic Services Ft Wayne, IN 46815 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Edward Gaidies" <teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, September 05, 2004 7:34 PM Subject: [TechAssist] Re: Hitachi 53UWX10BA No video/sound is rushing noise | Still not a picture that impressed me. | | | -Ed- | | Tel-Tek Electronics | Ontario-Canada | teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx | | | | > From: Intrepid Video Support <support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> | > Reply-To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> | > Date: Sun, 5 Sep 2004 20:06:38 -0400 | > To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> | > Subject: [TechAssist] Re: Hitachi 53UWX10BA No video/sound is rushing noise | > | > The way I understand, it is HD...but up-converted... | > Jeff | > -- | > Intrepid Video TV/VCR Repair | > 263 S Front St, Steelton PA 17113 | > 717-939-7708; (F) 717-564-4952 | > www.intrepid-video.com www.tech-repair.net | > ----- Original Message ----- | > From: "Tel-Tek Electronics" <teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx> | > To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> | > Sent: Saturday, September 04, 2004 9:37 AM | > Subject: [TechAssist] Re: Hitachi 53UWX10BA No video/sound is rushing noise | > | > | > I'm not sure about Sat.
