Hollis , definitively a solder joint , or a cracked component (resistor , 
or capacitor )
2 ways to check for cracked solder , or cold solder , is to slam (with hand 
please !!!) the machine , or , trying to twist the main board
many times you can see your trouble disappearing , but .... FIX it !! it 
will come back !!
when cold , it is working , but when hot , boards (or card) take a little 
expension , and VOILA ! solder loose its contact , here is the trouble again
(you allowed to cool down few minutes , and solder is ok , untill getting 
hot again)
hand slamming units , get vibrations over the units , and if a bad contact 
is somewhere , the vibration may suffice to help making the contact (let's 
say a few seconds) probably helping to locate ...
