!Happy San Valentine to all!. Reading about ESR meters. I have a very old "C&E" esr meter model CT98. I need to know what the IC # are. Please if somebody know the numbers or have any in your bond yard, let me know. I love this meter and C&E is no more in business. TIA pete Perdomo Tv Inc, Since 1972 Miami, Fl. Reply=A0to: techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Yeah, but tool bags (K-Mart calls them tackle bags, go figure) come fairly inexpensive, and readily available. Since they're soft, less chance of causing damage when I inadvertently bump into things. John Myers Myers TV Service Company 376 E. Well duuuuuuuuh John. Dick didn't add safe guards for "Tool Bags".;-) Pulling the button may work...wrapping the battery in Duct tape might work.;-) How about a Crush Proof box? See...in the old days..we carried Caddies. Tool Bags were for Plummers.;-) -Ed- Ed Gaidies Tel-Tek Electronics Ontario-Canada teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx teltek@xxxxxxxxx On 12-Feb-05, at 6:47 PM, John @ Myers TV wrote: I kiled the first battery in about a week. I love my Dick Smith, but one thing about battery life: First, to "zero" the meter, you need to turn it on,short the leads together, and push power button. If the battery is low, this is when the meter shuts off instead of zeroing. But when I remove the old 9V battery they always test good on my bat meter.I'm guessing the ckt that senses the bat condition may be too sensitive. Anyone find this, and whats the solution? I'm tired of changing 9V cells when they're only down a few percent. Phil Bader -- Philip Bader Jan Phyl TV Inc. (estab. 1976) 3420 Recker Hwy.
