Sometimes there not worth repairing, ATX 250W P.S. used are $20. New
250W ATX P.S with case are $40. That doesn't mean the broken ones can't
be fixed :-)

Barry, I have repaired a couple of computer power suppplies which were
dead. These were under 300W output. The problems were the 2 switching
transistors in the primary side, both were 2SC3039's (against the
heatsink). They checked ok out of circuit but were actually bad. New
ones solved it.
