Hi I once had a CTC177 that did the same thing and I kept bypassing all the smd caps in the tuner and found one that was intermittantly open. needless to say, I left the disk cap right in the circuit when I found it. I can't remember which one was the culprit. I'm not at the shop now, but I'll look at my notes when I get there tomorrow.
