[TCUG] Re: Puffin Crossings - Costs

The breakdown here in Derby is:

Anti skid surfacing 2.1k
Civils works 4.5k (includes fully ducted system with a chamber at each pole
and one at the controller, kerbs, tactile paving etc, and installation of
poles, controller base and Haldo pillar as supplied by signals company)
Electricity supply .5k
BT (varies from site to site) averages .5k
Plus minor costs eg scrim testing etc

this gives a total civils cost in the region of 8k

Signals wise, cost of a 4 pole puffin with 4 pushbutton units and 2 red man/
green man indicators is 9.2k including 2 video kerbside detectors and 2
tactile knobs (and audibles).

So we have a total cost to install a puffin of around 17k plus design costs.
Hope this doesn't upset too many!

Ian Wallis - What are the full installation costs - I assume the =A38k
doesn't include all the civils works and signal installation!

Dick Andrews - was that =A315k, =A331k (or =A3315k - as it appeared in =
the=20
version that I received from you!)

With flush kerbs, tactile paving, antiskid surfacing, etc here in Derby
